Whining Yeti Returns
I want to be posting on here so much more, but I’m stealing 5 minutes on my day off between making wedding calls and designing T-Shirts to post this reused picture. Anyway, check back soon for the next chapter of the Metroid Chronicles, more stupid anecdotes and the start of a new series (Oooooh, mysterious).
Between Tera going to school full time and me trying to balance work and writing, we can be fairly awful at getting wedding stuff done. I wish I was a vampire cause then I could not sleep and have an extra 8 hours to do stuff every day. That’s the only thing I took from Twilight.
The Metroid Chronicles Chapter 2: Empowerment
Quick question before I jump back in to Metroid. Planet Zebes is supposedly the Space Pirate fortress right? So why is it that of the 32 enemies in the game, not a single one of them is a Space Pirate? What the hell were they so occupied with?? Anyway, back to the game. Picking up where I left off, I discovered that I had not explored the first two areas nearly as thoroughly as I had thought....
Specifically this comic is about Beyond Good And Evil, but I do this ALL THE TIME. Also, I just realized I gave myself Tera’s colors in panel 2. Oh well.
The Metroid Chronicles Chapter 1: Survival
Metroid; one of the most beloved games of all time, a genre defining science-fiction masterpiece, and I’ve never played it. Seems odd doesn’t it? I like to think of myself as a well-read (well-played?) gamer, and if anything lean Nintendo, yet I’ve never played Metroid. “Alright” you say, “you may not have played the original, but surely you’ve played...
Got Ma Hur Did
And I’m not totally sure how to draw it… We all know I have issues drawing myself consistently but the hair has always tied that shiz together.. Whatever happens, I feel as if the cowlick has to stay. Not only does it seem to exist no matter how I cut my hair, but it has pretty much become the signature characteristic of my illustrated avatar. Anyway, here’s...
Pandora, Sometimes I Hate You: Part 1
Well guys it’s been a while, but…. hold on a sec. Do me a favor, go ahead and play this song while you read this post, yeah? I feel like it’ll really add to the mood. Anyway hi. Where was I? Oh right. I’m back! I know it’s been a while, and I apologize for that, but rest easy 10 to 20 readers, for the gaping hole in your soul can now be mended. My absence is do...
Sorry about the sparse updates. I just got a new job but still have my old one, and thus I have very little free time. My schedule should be equalizing soon though. In the mean time, this is Barry. He’s a narwhal.
The Dark Knight Returns
And that’s that. Yes, It’s been a while since my last post. And yes, your lives were empty without my blog. But I’m back now! Am I promising never to disappear again? No. But I am going to try to keep this baby up. I have barely drawn anything in the last few months but I will try to post what I have done. And I am going to try to post new doodles weekly. There are also a...
It's a good movie!
This is one of the myriad times where I hate how my sister Ellie is always right.
Summer of Art week 9
This week I challenged myself to only work with a tablet, so yikes. haha His skin is gross. Artweaver. Artweaver. The human chameleon (it looks way cooler when you zoom in). Paint.net. DISCLAIMER!!! The following two pictures I really did not draw, at all. I was practicing digitally coloring a line drawing. I’m doing this because of a project I’m working on. More on that...
Summer of Art week 8
Peaceful Alcatraz. Watercolor. I picked out crazy animal, so I went with a fruit bat. Graphite. Fat Unicorn. Ink. GAVIN LORD OF TRASH! Graphite. Hello Mr. Moon. Ink.
Summer of Art week 6, also 7
Last week was crazy, adding comic-con to my already busy schedule… So I decided that I would do a double post this week! There are a few missing, but I forgive myself. Harry Potter and the overly unsettling villain. MS Paint. Victorious Star Wars. Ink. Cookie Monster! Ink and Wash. I’m trying to get better at computer art. This was an experiment on Artweaver. I did this...
Fear is a a funny thing. Everybody has them, and a lot of them are pretty ridiculous. I personally have two big fears. Snakes, and being startled while I pee. I feel as if these fears are perfectly legitimate. It’s not like I’m afraid of cotton-balls or something. I’m afraid of snakes because snakes are evil, snakes are literally the devil. Think about it. Also because...
Summer of Art week 5
Stupid human. Ink. I needed a new profile pic for Google+ so I made this one. Also, Google+ is awesome. MS Paint. I drew this picture of Brian Wilson of the Giants, not because of his athletic ability but because of his beautiful beard. In his own words “Not even the most perfect honey is as sweet as this beard”. Ballpoint. Confused old man. Graphite. “Draw a random...
Summer of Art week 4
Lively Link. Ink. Interestingly enough, the only picture out of the box this week. TMNT Sketch. Graphite. Ghostie. I was experimenting with Ink. Shaggy sketch. I’m pretty proud of this one. This is a profile of Art Tatum, pretty much my favorite pianist. I wish it was better. “Nightfall”. Done in Ink. I got some new colored inks this week, so there will probably...
Summer of Art week 3
A Little late this week, I apologize. Silly Holiday! I drew a picture of Mr. H Potter, perhaps you’ve heard of him? I personally think that Dobby should have seen more combat in the series. Graphite yo! This came to me as I was trying to sleep one night, and it possessed my mind until i got it down on paper. Sharpie. Space is adorable! I drawed this with a gel pen on...
Best Couple EVER! Episode 1
This is a comic of a conversation that my Girlfriend and I had. All of this was actually spoken… She drew me, and I her. Enjoy! Notice the Sexy new feature, the ability to ZOOOOOOOOOOM! So cool.
Summer of Art week 2
Week 2 everybody! Happy Dracula! Done in Micron. Cold Abe (from Clone High) done in graphite. I feel as if not everybody has seen Clone High, and that’s very sad. It was a quickly canceled show on MTV back in the early 2000s, and it was great. Seriously, the best thing MTV ever produced until Jersey Shore came around. Strong Rapheal, done in Ink and Wash. On a side note, I have been...
Summer of art week 1
So I did it! made a picture every day. Here they are. I don’t know how to introduce this. Vivacious George Washington. Quite the life of the party that George. Done in Ink and Wash. Fat Aah! Real Monsters, disturbing I know. I did this one in regular ol’ graphite. This one is a doodle page that I did with my awesome girlfriend Tera, also in graphite. Loving Mega Man....
So…. yikes… it’s been a while. I have had quite the busy few months. A nasty side-effect of the whole life thing. But I’m back now, and I’m back with a mission! The Plan; Make a picture every day. I want to keep honing my ability as an artist, and the best way to do that is by practicing all the time. My plan is to create a picture in myriad media every day this...
I drew this today. 4/06/11
Don’t get me wrong, I love T.J. Hooker as much as the next guy, but watching it comes with a serious caveat. Universal HD, the channel that T.J. Hooker is on, loves long commercials. Most stations feature adds that are like 30 seconds tops. UHD however shows mini infomercials during every flipping break! Their favorite one to show is that MAF work-out DVD P90X. At this point, it is 3 to 5...
So I don’t know if you, dear reader, have yet witnessed the posters for the new X-Men: First Class film. They are, not to put too fine a point on it, complete ass. Seriously, what 20th century advertisement department tool put a small monkey with ADHD in front of Photoshop basic and left him alone for 27 minutes the night before his deadline and expected anything other than this? And what,...
Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. The last few weeks have been crazy. I moved into my apartment, and at this point I have no way to upload anything from there. So I am covertly posting this from a very secret location. Hence the Batman me. Eh? eh?? Maybe I need to talk about Batman less… Anyway, once things settle down I have every intention to start posting regularly...

All fear the mighty MOUSE-BEAR! Favorite food- Honey-gouda Greatest enemy- Rifle-Kitty Natural climate- The forest-in your basement… this is kinda falling apart. I’m letting it go now.
The day I became thief.
As children, I think we are very much affected by what we see on TV. That is why I got a washer stuck on my finger thinking it was a planet power ring, and why my brothers stabbed each other with fake arrows after watching the TMNT. This is why commercials exist, because when any product is paired with bright colors and a catchy jingle, small children will want it. I was at the store with my...
A Little Whine.
This sad yeti fellow is a manifestation of my feelings. My new story post is coming, but it has a lot of illustrations. They are hand drawn, so I can only really do them at home, where as MSP stuff I can do anywhere. It doesn’t help that I have little spare time. Also, I procrastinate a lot… Also, My life is a wasteland of misery, I deserve every bit of pity you can spare. Blah blah...

He has many names. Kimagure (気まぐれ), Fickle, Aosuke (青助), blue guy, Mucky, Bashful, and most commonly, Inky. He has always been my favorite of the Pacman ghosts.
Bob Kane would be proud.
It was early this fall that I discovered something very important about myself. The gang and I were watching Jersey shore and I clumsily spilled grape soda on my shirt. When I went into the bathroom to change, I detected something magical in the mirror… I couldn’t believe my eyes. Could such a thing really be true? Could I posses such a gift? Yes friends, the mark of the Caped...

Everybody loves a manimal. Who can deny the pure masculine majesty of a Man-Shark leaping out of the glistening waves? Who can stand tall, pants un-pissed, as a lumbering Man-Bear approaches their desolate everest campsite? And who can forget the eternal struggle of the Man-Possum and Man-Snake for world control? Their is one Manimal however who is just not as cool. We call him Dennis, and he...
Sometimes I don't get jokes...
Though I consider myself to have a pretty good sense of humor, for whatever reason I sometimes find it hard to understand when other people are joking. Maybe I’m just not very good thinking on my feet, I just usually don’t catch a joke until it is long since past. I work at an electronics store and one day a customer came in asking for a computer mouse. Now in my defense, this guy was...
An Illustrated Life
So here we are. My Blog. My memoir. My life in crappy cartoon form. I started this Blog for 2 reasons. The first, I need a creative outlet. In recent years I have not had much reason to create art (term used loosely) so I hope that through this Blog, I may be motivated to create. Not to mention I have much room to grow as an artist. The second, I like talking about my self. I don’t mean...
